Canyon Creek is an attractive, prosperous
neighborhood located on the outskirts of Northwest Austin.
The neighborhood is convenient to many of the area’s
high tech employers located in North Austin and Round
Rock. Canyon Creek is bordered on one side by Balcones
Canyonland Preserve which seems to give the neighborhood
a nice country feel despite being only a few miles from
major shopping and employment centers.

Canyon Creek Amenities |

Canyon Creek offers its residents a wide array of
amenities including a junior Olympic pool with changing
rooms, and baby splash pool. The neighborhood offers
a wonderful playground area, a tennis court, basketball
court, and soccer field. Trailhead Park features an
additional soccer field and basketball court along
with a baseball diamond, BBQ grills, and an events
pavilion. A nice hike and bike trail also runs through
the neighborhood. |

Canyon Creek Schools |

Canyon Creek is served by two highly respected school
districts - Round Rock ISD and Leander ISD. Canyon
Creek Elementary, with its exemplary reputation, is
conveniently located in the neighborhood and is part
of Round Rock ISD. Grisham Middle School and Westwood
High School are the other highly rated schools belonging
to Round Rock ISD. Grandview Hills Elementary School,
Canyon Ridge Middle School, and Cedar Park High School
are the schools that are part of Leander ISD. Private
schools such as Hill Country Bible School (K-12) and
Summit Christian Academy (K-12) are also located nearby. |

Canyon Creek Homes |

Construction in Canyon Creek started
in the late ‘80s,
but most homes in the neighborhood were actually built
sometime during the ‘90s. Homes in Canyon Creek
vary in size from 1,800 to 4,500 square feet, and home
prices range from the 230s to low 500s. The price per
square foot range is from about $85 to $140 but usually
averages around $115 a square foot. Many of Canyon
Creek’s homes were constructed by well-known
builders David Weekley and Standard Pacific Homes. |

Canyon Creek is located in far NW Austin along RR 620. The neighborhood is about 3 miles west of the intersection of 620 and Hwy 183. Lakeline Mall is located at this same intersection and
features numerous
national chains such as Dillard’s, JC Penney,
Macy’s, and Sears, as well as several local specialty
shops. Three large grocery stores are also located
within a few miles of Canyon Creek. Equally advantageous
to residents is the neighborhood’s close proximity
to Lake Travis and Lake Austin, which boast a impressive
variety of entertainment, recreation, and dining options. |
