Milwood is a well-established neighborhood
of modestly sized homes with reasonable price tags in Northwest
Austin. The neighborhood is also very convenient to several
major thoroughfares such as Hwy 183, RR 620, and Loop 1.
This allows Milwood residents quick and easy access to
nearby shopping, dining, recreation, and employment opportunities. Besides location, one of Milwood’s other attractive
assets is the beautiful mature trees and lush green lawns
that are prevalent throughout the neighborhood.

Balcones Park & Pool provides Milwood residents with
great recreational activities such as swimming, picnicking,
or a game of Frisbee. Milwood also offers an active homeowner’s
association, and membership is offered to all residents
who pay annual dues. The association organizes several
groups aimed at improving the community, including a
beautification committee, safety committee, social committee,
and zoning information committee. One tradition especially
cherished by the community is the 4th of July picnic
and parade the Milwood homeowner’s association
hosts every year. The neighborhood association also puts
out a newsletter to keep its members up to date on news
and upcoming events.
